On paper, Amazon South Africa is cheaper to sell on than Takealot in 2026. Amazon has no fixed monthly fee on its Individual plan, and it has cut referral fees to a flat 5% until 31 March 2027. Takealot charges a R400 monthly account fee plus a category success fee of roughly 4% to 18%.
